What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I love being surrounded by the art while I’m working and learning about all the new artists we get to exhibit at the museum.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I enjoy working on our publication and reading the works of fellow students! I also enjoy being able to see what goes on “behind the scenes” to make any museum event possible.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite piece of art would have to be “The Artist and His Mother” by Arshile Gorky.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like interacting with the permanent collection best.

What's your Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite museum is my hometown museum, the Nelson-Atkins in Kansas City.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? The people I get to work with. I love the diversity of perspectives and backgrounds among the student ambassadors. I think it contributes to making the McMullen an interesting and engaging place for visitors. (Oh, and I love the terrace too).

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? Being surrounded by art.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite museum is the Museum of Islamic art in Qatar

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? My favorite thing about being a student ambassador is how I get to incorporate everything I am learning from my work, our staff, and our exhibitions into conversations with my friends, peers, and professors. I love being able to bring art and all of its power and impact into my daily life, and the McMullen facilitates this so well.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite piece of art is a spoken word poetry piece by Andrea Gibson entitled "Birthday"

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? Creative collaboration. I love the fact that each student ambassador brings a unique view to all of the various projects and initiatives McMullen puts forth. Being a part of such a creatively diversified community is truly wonderful.

Favorite piece of art or museum? It’s so hard to choose just one! Some of my favorite pieces are Matisse’s still life paintings. The colors are so brilliant and his use of pattern is so eye-catching.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like having the ability to meet all different types of people I definitely would not have met otherwise.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? What I like about being a student ambassador is that it keeps me well-rounded. I'm a Computer Science major, which means I spend a lot of my time thinking quantitatively and mathematically. Working around profound pieces of art in a beautiful setting allows me to let my mind wander in a different direction for a change.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite piece of art is "The Things They Carried," by Tim O'Brien. O'Brien creates characters in this short story collection, which he later claims are fake--the thing is, they have so many anchors in reality that I just don't believe him.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? Socializing with other people who share the same passion for art

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like being able to create actual change within the walls of the museum as well as with all those that we reach.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? It's an incredibly nice, peaceful and relaxing location, and a tremendous place to work.

What is your favorite word to say? Contrapposto, because it's a significant term in art history and it really rolls off the tongue!

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I love being able to work with other students that have passions and interests similar to my own (the views from the terrace are pretty great too)!

Favorite piece of art or museum? Pluto and Proserpina by Gianlorenzo Bernini in the Galleria Borghese.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? My favorite part about being an SA is having conversations and engaging with those who visit the museum, whether they're students or just neighborhood residents visiting for their first time.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like how involved students are in the many ways a museum operates. It allows so much room for creativity, collaboration, and thinking outside of the box. Being an ambassador has been rewarding.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite installation in the museum is the Pepper's Ghost "hologram" installation in the back of the second floor. The technology it uses really amazes me, and I like the music in one of the scenes.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I love getting to know the exhibitions really well and spending time in such a beautiful space.

Favorite piece of art or museum? The National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., and The Beatles Experience in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I am grateful that as student ambassadors, we can be involved in so many aspects of a museum's day-to-day operation: from collection management to event planning to publication. I have learned so much in the past year working at the McMullen, and there is always something new to learn!

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I love being able to call "hanging out in a museum" my job!

Favorite piece of art or museum? The Belvedere!

What is your favorite word to say? Esperanza, which translates to hope.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? The best thing about being an ambassador would be the feeling of successfully connecting visitors to the museum through events like Art after Dark and the Into the Collection. The artwork takes on a life beyond the museum when people actively engage with it, making the art relevant to their own thoughts and experiences.

Favorite piece of art or museum? My favorite piece of art (right now because it changes all the time) is the sculpture Maman by Louise Bourgeois. It's a monumental sculpture of a spider that towers over observers, and functions as a loving tribute to her mother

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? What I like most about being a Student Ambassador at the McMullen Museum is the terrace. The third floor terrace is a quiet, beautiful place to read or do work while also taking in the stunning views of Brighton and nearby Boston.

Favorite piece of art or museum? Favorite Museum is the Tate Modern in London, UK.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like being a student ambassador because I get to spend more time on Brighton campus (the best campus?) and work on exciting projects with the Digital Humanities committee.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? I like being able to serve as a liaison between student organizations and the McMullen Museum.

What do you like best about being a student ambassador? My experience as a student ambassador at the McMullen Museum would be incomplete without the incredible companionship of my fellow ambassadors, managers, and staff. Being at the McMullen provokes scintillating conversation and I am grateful to be surrounded by a bevy of intelligent, passionate conversation partners.
